Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Becomes An Angel Investor For A Bengaluru Based Start-Up
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with her mother Vrinda Rai has invested in a noble startup in Bengaluru that aims to help the environment.
Our Bollywood celebs are strengthening the wings of budding entrepreneurs in the country and overseas as well by investing in the right kind of businesses. B-Town divas who remained in news for the same recently were Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra for investing in a food brand and social networking app respectively. Yet another diva to join the bandwagon is former Miss World and eternal beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The diva along with her mother Vrinda Rai has invested in an environmental intelligence startup.
Aishwarya is an angel investor for this Bengaluru based start-up, their product Ambee is used for monitoring the air quality. It is reported that the company has installed around 100 sensors in the city. Before she stepped in as their investor, the project was backed by former MD of Google India, Rajan Anandan. Though the actress has definitely joined the bandwagon of being an angel investor, this is not her debut venture. She had previously invested in wind power projects 10 years back meant for Maharashtra.
While we speak about Bollywood beauties stepping into the big world of business besides the entertainment world, our actors are too very much active as angel investors for many startups. Big B in 2015 had invested in Ziddu, a cloud service provider, Madhuri has invested in wearable and preventive healthcare devices.
Coming back to Mrs Bachchan, she has always supported charity causes such as Organ donation, AIDS and HIV, supporting specially-abled people and is also brand ambassador of a foundation which takes cares of kids with cleft lip or palate.
The actress was last seen in Fanney Khan and will soon be back with her favourite director Mani Ratnam.
